Numbers 15 to 13 of the 30 best horror films of the 20th century. The films are Event Horizon, An American Werewolf in London and The Sixth Sense. Do they pass the “better than Psycho, more fun than The Fly” test? One of them is definitely controversial.

s05e06 Best Horror of the 20th Century (15 to 13) – The Good Robot Andys
Hi GRAs
Just having a mini binge on episodes and enjoying your thoughts.
Doing a little happy dance because I think it was me who reminded you about the Sixth Sense – please tell me I’m right. It was very very scary and made me a bit worried about going in the shower after seeing the 3 people hanging behind a curtain. Luckily I haven’t seen Psycho… Even though you say I wouldn’t find it scary, I’m not too sure! Because I found the Sixth Sense scary I have never rewatched it. Bit of a shame really.
Loved being reminded of the Matrix – I think I only saw it 3 times at the cinema. It was amazing. I simultaneously made the exact same rather contemptuous noise as Andy B when Andy C mentioned the “sequel”.
I’m afraid I haven’t seen Event Horizon so I can’t offer a rant about that.
Nor have I seen The Fly, although my other half pulled an incredulous face when he walked past and heard you praising Jeff Goldblum’s performance.
I think I once saw 5 minutes of An American Werewolf in London and I definitely didn’t get it! Maybe need to watch…
I keep forgetting to mention that I was down in the West in the summer and got a little thrill when I saw a road sign for Glastonbury, Street and/or Wells.
Well that’s it for now, looking forward to continuing the countdown.
Woah, feedback torrent! Thanks Kathy. We should spread this across 6 episodes to make it look like we have >1 listener.
Jeff Goldblum is awesome in The Fly.
Yes, yes he is. This is canonical.
