The other night I dreamt I was running a camp and the young people wouldn't stop throwing ice cubes.

Just to be self-indulgent again - I had very disturbed sleep on Wednesday night, on account of a nightmare: my mum phoned me up in the middle of the night to tell me my girlfriend had died in an aftershock of the tsunami (apparently this was the second aftershock). And I spent the rest of the night running around the city trying to confirm that it was true. There was a list of people who'd died in the newspaper, but however many times I read it through, I couldn't see her name. Maybe it's got the makings of a film.
Not sure what caused it.

My Dreams used to be all about being an Indiana Jones/Batman type hero. I would have to solve all kinds of problems and eventually the place would blow up and I'd end up with the babe, I used to always wake up just at that point where she was going to kiss me.

I used to have dreams where I was like James Bond - I always used to be leaping off incredibly high things. The one that sticks in my mind was a pier-like thing that was incredibly high, before I got in a speedboat and raced away.
Now I have a GameCube to provide for my James Bond fantasies.

Last night I dreamt I was sentenced to death for several things I was innocent of. I was sitting on my bunk with a friend of mine when the executioner came in. It turned out to be Roy Castle! He was very upset that he had to chop my head off. I prayed and thanked God for my life and prayed for the real criminal to be found etc. Then Roy and I decided the axe blade looked dangerously blunt, so we went off to the shops to get it sharpened.

As a friend of mine said, "You have to admire his dedication".
I can just imagine him giving me a final tootle on his trumpet before the end. Or maybe a quick tap-dance.

His widow was saying today that he'd be thrilled by the smoking ban.

Yep - I was trying to work out how come he appeared in my dream when I hadn't noticed him or Fiona being mentioned for a long time. Maybe it was just a random occurrence, but I thought maybe the mention of the ban on the news had triggered off some sequence of associations in my brain. Or maybe it was a coded message warning me of the dangers of passive smoking. But I'm not sure about the axe-sharpening bit.

I'm glad you didn't say 'He had an axe to grind'. That would've been too much wordplay. But the trip to the shops might've saved my skin, as when we got back to the place of execution (which looked rather like the church I grew up in) there was a meeting going on in there so we couldn't go in. After that the story seemed to jump into something new.

After an attack is over and the all-clear has been sounded, arrangements will be made as soon as possible to treat any people who are ill or injured. Listen to your radio, details will be given about what to do, when to do it and how.
If anyone dies while you are kept in your fallout room, move the body to another room in the house. Label the body with name and address and cover it as tightly as possible in polythene, paper, sheets or blankets. Tie a second card to the covering. The radio will advise you what to do about taking the body away for burial.
If however you have had a body in the house for more than five days, and if it is safe to go outside, then you should bury the body for the time being in a trench, or cover it with earth, and mark the spot of the burial.
Blimey.
On Saturday night my pastor dreamt that he turned up for the service and as he was about to preach the sermon, he realised he'd forgotten his sermon notes. So after he'd woken up, he did fine remembering to bring his sermon notes to the morning service, but when it came to the evening service he did forget them after all!! And the sermon was on God's foreknowledge!!!
Hi there, it's Abby here.
I have dreams about the flat in Edinburgh where I grew up... but they are recurrent nightmares that when I go there I find the street has eroded away, everything is boarded up and silent and there is wind whistling eerily... and all the shops I go to are closed, and my stair to my flat is just a front and behind is nothing but rubble... I always wake up feeling upset about this. Every time I visit Edinburgh I go back to my old street to look round ( my Mum doesn't live there and the only person who knows me is the nice family who run the local newsagent) - and I think I go there just to satisfy myself that the Old Town is still busy and populated and thriving!

That's weird - that's totally the opposite of the dreams I have about where I grew up in Worcester Park (which I haven't seen for 12 years) - I always dream of going back there and seeing new modern-brick shops and hotels and big roads, and sometimes random quaint things like a ruined castle or an old cottage that has become a shop selling Indian spices...

This time I dreamt it had a new branch of Primark, and a new Christian cafe/bookshop. Maybe that's a 'word' for me.

Last night I dreamt I was in Lost and Locke and I were holed up in an abandoned house and a baby "other" got in and we tried to kill it in loads of ways but it wouldn't die no matter what we did. A really violent and disturbing dream.
